This group exists to support the book Cancer: Improving Your Odds. Discussions regarding cancer that aren’t covered in the book are fine, as long as they don’t conflict with the primary objective and have scientific evidence behind them.  With that in mind, here are a few rules, this is not a complete list:

• Please note that soliciting business or personal information  for commercial purposes from our members is prohibited. We especially do not tolerate soliciting (in any way) for MLM (multi level marketing) products. The words “Plexus” (and other MLM companies) and their products are not discussed here. It causes way too many problems and the motivations of the people selling the products come in question as they make money off of each sale.
• Private messaging group members with information about a product you sell or make a commission from (no matter how well it does, or doesn’t work) will get  you banned! Your name will also be passed on to a group of other Facebook group admins so you can be banned there as well!  I encourage all group members to report this activity to me.  This type of activity encourages people to leave the group, and not even join Facebook groups.
• Do not post links knowingly contain affiliate links, giveaways, or contests to this group.
• All posts and links should be cancer related (sorry, no “good cause” links). Such posts will be removed without comment or bias. In my other groups I get a lot of complaints about discussions / questions that are not on topic. Please take these discussion to another group.
• The Facebook group is not the place for questions about any order, complaints, or promotion of competing products. You can send John Herron a personal message, or email me at herronj@improvingyourodds.com.
• Remain respectful at ALL times. Belittling and rudeness will not be tolerated. Your goal when posting here should be the same as mine, to be helpful and to make everyone feel welcome regardless of their knowledge level on the subject being discussed.
• This group is not here for you to hone your high school debate skills. If you don’t agree with me (the author) or the book, you are probably not in the correct group. Harassing me, one of the other admins, or any other person in the group will get you banned. I just don’t have time for it. You can always start your own group.
• This group, and the book it supports, is based on science based alternative / complementary treatments. Threads that discuss treatments that either have no scientific evidence of efficacy, or (especially) have evidence that may do harm, will most likely be  deleted (again, I don’t have time for debate). There are plenty of other groups out there for those discussions or you can always form your own group.
• If you’re a health coach (even for free), ND, functional medicine doctor, etc., you should be here to learn, not to seek clients. Don’t ask people to PM you and don’t PM them. Don’t post links to an article that you wrote to this group, this is just a ploy to get people to contact you. We are being overrun by such spam and people are quitting because of it.
• Please do not use “F” (etc) to follow posts. Instead, click on the 3 dots to the right of the person’s name, then click on “Turn on notifications for this post”. It does the same thing and doesn’t annoy people. We won’t ban you for it, but we will delete your “F” post.

The admins and moderators reserve the right to remove any posts or comments which may be found in violation of these policies with or without warning. You also may, or may not, get a warning before being banned from the group, depending on the severity of the violation.
